ONCE UPON A TIME
My love for photography was born in high school... I loved entering photos in 4-H competitions and once I had kids of my own, my passion for creating unique portraits came full circle!
Having graduates and soon to be graduates of my own, I know how important this season of your life is!
In 2001, I opened my first portrait studio in Charlotte, NC. It was small but a great launching pad for learning and honing my skills.
When I began my photography career, I was working in Radio and Television. I started photographing TV anchors and local celebrities. I decided right then and there to make my goal was to make the AKP senior portrait experience the most amazing for my clients. In this world of social media, I wanted to infuse confidence into my clients and help them realize how beautiful they really are. It’s amazing what gorgeous images can do for a person's self esteem! Since then, I’ve made it my goal to help bring their seniors an amazing senior portrait experience unlike any other.
